At some point I plan to make the mods you were kind enough to explain. I've put the Viking away for now, still ticked off that the company would send out a detector with so many quality issues that I have to fix. I could overlook that a poorly made instrument slipped through...what I can't overlook is that the company's customer service did not go the extra mile to fix it. For now I'll just use my Umax on the iron sites, or an old Nautilus DMC2, the forerunner of the 2B, and excellent machine, especially in iron. Thanks again, bubba.
