    I responded to your post earlier on the Shadow forum so won't do so again here. I am seeing some very contradictory results and want to see what the X-5 is like myself. Should be in around mid-week so I'm told. Don't think I would be capable of an honest comparison within a few days, though. Will take my time, try to learn it best as I can and see how it does the job.

    Like other detectors I know already there are places I wouldn't want to swing it and others where running it full open is exactly the ideal thing to do. I love the small coils and won't hit the really trashy areas with it until I get one. But man, I know a few cellar holes and a couple great sites where no sounds can be had but at one time produced a lot of goodies. Those can only be attacked in late fall when the foilage is gone. So, I'll hold any comparisons until I can use the X-5 the way I want with the coil I want.
